Structures and concrete works
Concrete is a wonderfully versatile material that we have considerable experience working with. We take pride in offering construction alternatives to suit site requirements and client needs, as well as costing alternatives. We can advise on the finished look and design advantages.
Our customers include councils, private clients, and head contractors on infrastructure projects.
We can construct:
- Bridges – especially for private access
- Decks and stairs
- Noise walls and large fences
- Pedestrian tunnels
- Viewing platforms
The type of concrete projects we carry out include:
- Driveways
- Slab on grade (also known as a floating slab foundation)
- Ground beams
- Guide beams
- Tilt panels
- Grouting
- Shotcrete (or sprayed concrete)
- In situ columns
- Beams and floors
CLL can install all types of pre-cast panels and a specialist skill within the team is the construction of capping beams and the installation of concrete tilt panels.
“We construct lots of different types of structure, a lot of vertical building piling. That’s partly because we have an understanding of concrete and the way it performs. It’s also one of the reasons we’re good at concrete repairs. We understand its performance and reinstate and improve what was already there.”
“We recently restored old military emplacements on Hauraki Gulf islands where corroding reinforcing had blown away the concrete. But from a repair point of view, it isn’t just cement that we employ. There’s epoxies, additives and other mixes which enable us to carry out different types of repairs in different environments.”
“We understand how to overhaul and heal structures. It’s part of our DNA.”
