CLL was engaged by Fulton Hogan to build debris protection racks for the culverts in the Huntly section of the Waikato Expressway.
CLL was driving poles into the ground next to culverts under the future motorway to protect those culverts from falling debris such as trees. Holes were drilled, timber poles placed and the section concreted to form debris control screens.
Site traffic and access was difficult due to crowding with large machinery and isolation. Many of CLL’s shifts of machinery or concrete delivery could only be managed around the down times of other contractors. Good all round planning and excellent professional communication with concrete suppliers and other contractors enabled the project to run smoothly and on time.
